Product Application
The Omada SG6428XHP is a managed Layer 3 PoE+ switch that offers L3 routing, high-speed 10 Gbps wire speed, stacking, and redundant power supply to meet the needs of the convergence layer. It offers an impressive total PoE power output of up to 720 W*, 24 Gigabit RJ45 PoE+ ports, 4 SFP+ slots, and physical stacking. Centralized management, high security, and extensive management features make this switch ideal for SMB, enterprise, and ISP applications.
IEEE 802.3at/af PoE Support
The 24 IEEE 802.3at/af PoE ports provide up to 720W of combined power for 802.3at and 802.3af devices*, each capable of delivering up to 30W of power. Easily install wireless access points, surveillance cameras, IP phones, and other PoE-enabled devices without the hassle and expense of additional power cabling. Perpetual PoE ensures uninterrupted power delivery to devices, even during switch reboots. Furthermore, the switch retains PoE power settings after reboot thanks to its fast PoE functionality.
High-speed connections and efficient stacking
24 Gigabit RJ45 ports and four 10 Gbps SFP+ slots provide up to 128 Gbps of switching capacity per unit. Physical stacking of up to 8 units strengthens the network structure with its efficiency and built-in redundancy.
Extensive Layer 3 Capabilities
The switch is equipped with multiple Layer 3 routing protocols to support network scalability. Static Routing, RIP, OSPF, ECMP, VRRP, DHCP Server, and DHCP Relay are supported. The PIM-DM multicast routing protocol ensures efficient routing for multicast groups.
High Availability
Hot-swappable, redundant power supplies with VRRP are an ideal choice for a reliable network architecture**. ERPS supports rapid protection and recovery in a ring topology.
Advanced Security Features
Network protection against a wide range of threats is provided by ACLs (IPv4 and IPv6), Dynamic ARP Inspection, IEEE 802.1X, MAB, Port Security, and Secure Shell (SSH).
Omada SDN
The Omada system offers centralized cloud management and numerous management features, such as Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP). The Omada software-defined network infrastructure (SDN) platform integrates network devices, including access points, switches, and gateways, providing completely centralized cloud management from a single interface.
In addition to centralized management via the Omada app, the SG6428XHP switch can also be easily managed via a web configuration page or command line interface (CLI). Both methods protect traffic using SSL or SSH encryption. SNMP (v1/v2c/v3) and RMON enable polling of the switch to obtain valuable information and send traps for unexpected events.
